Problem |
No Phaco Power. |
Solution |
- Check to see that the hand piece is plugged into the front panel receptacle.
- Make sure you are in the “PHACO” mode.
- Check to see that the phaco tip is not loose.
- Check to see if the bubble suppressor is not stuck, (it should easily rotate) and see that it is not torn.
- Check if the foot pedal is driving machine to phaco position.
- Try non-linear mode.

- Broken power cord don’t use. Send to SDC.

Heating Up. |
Solution |
- If only one hand piece is heating up, send it to SDC.

Leaking at rear of hand piece. |
Solution |
- If the hand piece is a STM replace rear connector.
- If the hand piece is a TF check that the stack is seated completely in to the coil.
- Make sure that the metal shell over the cocoon is tight.
- Make sure that “O” rings are not damaged.

Not working in linear. |
Solution |
- Check to see that the linear function light is displayed and that it adds an additional 4 cc/min upon depressing of the foot pedal.

Making metallic sound. |
Solution |
- Change the O-rings, tighten the shell.

louding in Anterior Chamber. |
Solution |
- Check settings, ART, occlusions.
- Increase flow rates

Problem |
Corneal burns/edema. |
Solution |
- Change the infusion sleeve.
- Make sure incision size is correct for Phaco Tip.
- Make sure that there is sufficient flow before engaging phaco.
